Adding TLDs To Your Pricing and Setting/Updating Domain Addons, Grace/Redemption Periods and Autoreg Settings

The list of TLDs on the eNom TLDs tab are those that have already been downloaded.

The TLDs already included in your pricing are those with a check mark in the checkbox in the column 'Included' to the left of the TLD.

The domain addons and autoreg settings are also displayed for these TLDs.

To include other TLDs in your pricing, check the checkbox adjacent to those you want to include. If you want to include them all, check the checkbox above the 'Included' column.

This is the same for the domain addons.

The autoreg setting at the top of the column will set the autoreg for the selected TLDs, so you can check all the boxes then select the autoreg registrar. Individual changes can be made later by selecting specific TLDs and selecting the registrar from the associated dropdown.

If you are running WHMCS 7.5.x there will be additional columns to the right of the Autoreg column. These columns are Grace Period, Grace Period Fee, Redemption Grace Period and Redemption Grace Period Fee and operate in a similar way to Autoreg inasmuch as you can select a value from the dropdown at the top of the column that will affect all selected TLDs. Individual changes can be made later by selecting specific TLDs and entering desired values into the associated fields.

Once you have selected the TLDs to be added to your pricing and set/updated the domain addons and autoreg and/or grace period/fee settings, click the 'Update TLDs Offered' button.

The domain addons, autoreg and grace period/fee settings will be made immediately, the TLDs will be added to pricing next time the WHMCS Cron runs.

Please Note | In order to handle the maximum number of POST variables when checking checkboxes to include all TLDS with all addons, all autoreg settings and all grace period & fee settings, set the PHP directive 'max_input_vars' to 3200 or greater (WHMCS 7.4.x or lower) or 5500 or greater (WHMCS 7.5.x or higher). As this action is not one that is made frequently, you can set this back to the previous value after the update has been done should you wish.

Domain Addons

Once TLDs have been imported from eNom, the domain addons settings can be viewed in the table on the eNom TLDs tab.

The settings for DNS Management, Email Forwarding, ID Protect and EPP Code are indicated by the relevant checkboxes being checked (available) or unchecked (not available) for purchase.

Please note: Where addons are available you must ensure the pricing for the addon is set in Setup->Products/Services->Domain Pricing Domain Addons.

Where the checkbox is disabled (greyed out) it indicates that this addon is not available via eNom for this TLD.

Addons are made available simply by checking the appropriate checkbox and, when finished, clicking the 'Update TLDs Offered' button.

The checkboxes above the top of the columns allows the selecting/deselecting of all checkboxes in the column. Disabled checkboxes will be omitted automatically.

Grace/Redemption Period

In version 7.5.0 WHMCS introduced default grace period and redemption grace period settings with the possibility to override these and set your own grace period(s) and fee(s).

The WHMCS documentation states "By default, we will automatically apply the default Grace Period for a TLD/extension when available. This allows customers to renew a domain past the expiry date for the given period of time. By default no additional fees are applied to the renewal of domains in the Grace Period, as is in keeping with the behaviour of most Registrar's and Registries, however you can set additional fees to be applied should you wish…"

Please read the WHMCS documentation for full details regarding how this operates.

In version 1.3.2 we added sections to the eNom TLDs tab giving you the possibility to have an overall view of the grace periods and redemption grace periods and any associated fees that have been set for the TLDs included in your pricing and to set these values directly from this page.

Once TLDs have been imported from eNom, the domain grace period and redemption grace period settings for the TLDs included in your pricing can be viewed in the table on the eNom TLDs tab.

These sections mirror the settings available in Setup->Products/Services->Domain Pricing and a change made in one will be mirrored in the other.

For details of the default grace or redemption grace periods, please consult the settings in Setup->Products/Services->Domain Pricing for the TLD in question.

Autoreg

Once TLDs have been imported from eNom, the autoreg settings can be viewed in the table on the eNom TLDs tab.

The autoreg setting for each TLD is indicated by the name of the registrar displayed in the dropdown at the right hand side of the row.

There are two ways to update the autoreg settings:

  1. From the 'eNom TLDs' tab
  2. From the 'Quick Actions' tab

From the 'eNom TLDs' tab whilst selecting the TLDs to be added to your pricing and the domain addons settings, the autoreg setting can be adjusted either individually, row by row, or by selecting the registrar from the 'Select to set autoreg for selected TLDs' dropdown at the top of the column.

Once the autoreg registrars have been selected, these can be saved by clicking the 'Update TLDs Offered' button.

At the bottom of the 'Quick Actions' page there is a section 'Batch update autoreg registrar'. Here you can select the registrar from the dropdown and update all TLDs at once by leaving the 'Update autoreg for:' field empty, or you can enter a comma separated list into that field and update the registrar for those TLDs only.
